We’re getting up there
Getting close to the halfway point for Souptember
Yesterday I showed you all how to make soup with Spaghetti-O’s, but I guess today we could briefly talk about another soup in a movie, Ratatouille

It was one of the first things Ratatouille did in the movie, and showed a passion for cooking
Also I think when it came out, it made me want to cook and experiment with food
Soup is pretty easy to cook. You need spices, ingredients, and a liquid
With all that said, let’s get into today’s soup
Egg Soup
No you didn’t read that wrong: Egg Soup
Not Egg Drop Soup, that’s different. That has noodles
No, Egg Soup is different
A lot of people have been asking me a few questions this month:
“Kris, I really like soup, but what kind of soup can I make for breakfast?”
“How did you get so funny and clever with your writing?”
“Are these actual questions, or are you just making them up for your post?”
Well, I’ll answer one of those questions for you today, and the answer is Egg Soup

What you will need
- Egg
- Butter
- Milk
- Garlic Powder
- Jalapeño
- Cayenne Pepper
- Soft Tortilla
- Salsa
- Cheddar cheese
- Salt
- Pepper

Crack two eggs into a bowl
This will be the base, or broth, of the soup

Add milk
Whisk with a fork vigorously, making sure it’s all mixed well together

Cut up your jalapeño and add to the soup

Add all your spices

Add your cheese and bacon, and mix well
And there you go!
Your egg soup is done, but you should not eat raw eggs, so here are the steps needed to cook it:

Melt butter in a skillet

Once butter is melted, pour your Egg Soup into the skillet, and cook/stir well

I personally added more salt and pepper to the soup at this point, but it all comes down to personal taste

Put some tortillas onto a flat soup bowl, and pour the cooked Egg Soup on top of it
I had just enough for two tortillas myself
Add some salsa AKA “Tomato Soup” to your Egg Soup

And there you go! One easy to make Egg Soup
It tasted really good to me, and I’m sure I’ll have more breakfast soups later on this month
Let me know how yours turns out too, and I’ll see you tomorrow for more soup!
