Fifth day of September and we’re 1/6th of the way through the month. So many more soups to go, and yesterday’s soup, Chicken Tortilla, used a lot of ingredients. I’m sure there’s going to be some more soups with the same number of ingredients if not more, we’ll just have to wait and see.
I’m not yet sure what I want to do yet as a sort of “grand finale” when we hit the 30th soup. Should I rank them? Have the readers complete a poll and then write an extra post at the end as a recap for the month? I don’t know.
I know I want to do something, but if any of the readers here have any ideas once we hit the first of October, feel free to message me and let me know!
Let’s get on to the Labor Day soup
Miso Soup
Since it’s Labor Day, I wanted to make a soup that didn’t take too much work, and still is tasty. I think I found the perfect one with this soup, because there’s WAY less ingredients than yesterday’s.
What you will need:
- Mug
- Water
- Miso soup packet

That’s it! Just three ingredients. Pretty simple right?

Pour contents into a mug.

Boil water. I poured some water in a different mug, and microwaved it for 3 minutes to boil. You can use a pot and a stovetop if you want.

Pour water into mug filled with soup contents. Mine spilled a bit, but that’s fine. Enough water got into the mug.
Stir.

And there you go! A good single serving of Miso Soup. I have a couple other packets and I think it would go great in the morning.
I’ll probably have it again tomorrow, but as always I will have a new soup to make and write about. Enjoy your Labor Day today, and have a good, easy to make Miso Soup too!
