Strange ‘er’ things
It’s been about a week since the new season of Netflix’s Stranger Things came out, so I think I’ll use this article to talk about it. I’ll try and keep everything spoiler free.
I found it incredibly cool how the Groundskeeper turned out to be the actual monster the entire time. I never expected it, and neither did the kids. The show hinted at it from the very start, but it wasn’t revealed to the audience until halfway through the season. There was a scene where the kids were running away, and they had to build a barrier, so they had to board up this shelter they found, but it was the villains home base the entire time! It’s ingenious!

There was also that one youngster who continued to use her super power to get frozen breakfasts. I was amazed that she decided to eat a cheeseburger in episode 4. It showed a lot of character development in her, and I think that both the writer and screenwriter did an excellent job at making sure the actress knew exactly how to feel while recording for this scene. The kids all went to school this year too, so it was really interesting to see them in a new environment

Obviously, this show was set in the eighties again, so they had to make the technology limited. I loved the fact that all the characters got all the info from their local newspaper. It really showed us how life was better back in the past, where things were older.

Overall, I thought this season was a lot better than season one. I really liked the first season, but this one greatly improved. The scenes were very well made cinematography wise, and the scenes made for comedy were very clever. Hopefully in season three they go more on the digital side on the eighties, and maybe there could be a beast from the cyber world. The first Tron movie was made in 1982 after all…
